Refurbish

Is your piano just old and tired, a piece of nice furniture.  It will never be played again, not even in practice.  A piano refurbish project will bring back the joy and luster you had playing this magnificent piano.

Just a quick word about Piano Restorations.  Piano Restorations UK Limited is responsible for lighting the fire in my bosom that burns to this day.  Paul and his dad run the shop in England and are the finest piano technicians I know.  Two of the last to be trained in the world-famous Bluthner factory, they both appear in this video.  I will let you decide who they are and when they appear.

A piano refurbish project (sometimes referred to as reconditioning project) can mean many different things.  The following list of items in not inclusive but will hopefully stir our thoughts.:

• Repairing broken parts
• Cleaning
• Tuning
• Regulating
• Voicing (Most every piano can use some voicing)
• Polish brass and other metals
• Keys are cleaned, buffed, and aligned to provide a solid bed from which the action will work.
• Mechanical components of the action, trap work, and damper system are cleaned and adjusted to make it play its best.

In short, your instrument will be ready to produce the music that caused you to love it.  Refurbish your piano and see what a difference professionals make.
